- The SupraSonic doesn't support DSVD (or at least the only model
- that's shipping now does), and I'd be damn near certain that they can NOT
- upgrade these models to support DSVD in the future (unless Supra decided
- to spend quite a bit extra to get DSVD chipsets from Rockwell then disable
- DSVD support in the firmware, which is VERY unklikely). The biggest
- differences between the SupraFAXmodem and the SupraSonic are the voice
- support and the real LCD in the sonic vs. a little alphanumeric display.
- Apperently the Sonic also dumped the crummy Rockwell controller in favor
- of one slightly more powerful (although I don't know which one, possibly
- just the extra-strength Rockwell controller).

- No offence, but B*llsh#t.. The reason why you aren't currently
- selling 33.6 modems is because all the modems you're making at the moment
- are based on the Rockwell datapump, which seems to be incapable of
- handling the featrues of the annex to v.34.. The technical aspects of the
- 33.6 spec are all set, it's just political stuff that's keeping it from
- being official. Releasing a 33.6 modem now isn't like vFC, it was like
- how Multitech, USR, Motorola, and possibly some others released v.34
- modems before the original v.34 spec was official. I'm quite confident
- that Supra will make a modem that runs at 33.6kbps, but they'll have to
- wait until Rockwell releases a 33.6 datapump or switch to another
- datapump.
